What is the Jacó Beachfront Penthouse?
It is a beachfront penthouse in Jacó, Costa Rica that sleeps 4, with sweeping ocean views, multiple private balconies, and an exclusive rooftop terrace. It sits inside the gated Bahia Encantada resort.
How far is the penthouse from the beach?
It is right on the beach. A beachfront restaurant and bar are next door, and Jacó’s town center is a short walk away.
How far is the penthouse from the airport?
The transfer from San José’s airport (SJO) takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on traffic. We offer transportation services for guests who are not renting a car.
Do I need a rental car in Jacó?
No. Restaurants, shops, and nightlife are within walking distance, and our free concierge can arrange transfers and excursions. If you do rent a car, the resort has parking for 1 car inside the gated area.
Is Jacó, Costa Rica safe for tourists?
Yes, Jacó is a popular and welcoming beach town, and the resort is gated. As in any tourist destination, use common sense: avoid walking on the beach at night and keep valuables secured.
Does the penthouse have pool access?
Yes. All guests have access to the 4 resort style pools at Bahia Encantada.
What is the free concierge service?
After booking, you receive the contact details for our English and Spanish speaking concierge. He can arrange excursions, private chefs, condo stocking, and airport transfers.
What ID is required to stay at the resort?
Before arrival, each guest must provide their name and the last 4 digits of their passport or cédula number for resort security. Visitors need the same information provided 24 hours in advance, and security may deny access at its discretion.

100% refund up to 14 days before arrival
50% refund up to 7 days before arrival
House rules
Offensive, loud, disorderly, unlawful and/or lewd behavior is strictly prohibited
No drugs, prostitution, firearms, fireworks, or fires of any kind are allowed on the property
Security reserves the right to check passports for all incoming guests, and the last 4 digits of the passport number for all guests are required in advance of stay for access to the property.
Children under the age of 12 must be supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times
Pool Rules:
- Opens at 8:00AM and closes at 10:00PM (certain limitations may apply)
- There is no lifeguard on duty, swim at your own risk
- No diving and no glass allowed in the pool or surrounding areas
- If glass is used by a guest in or around the pool, and the glass breaks in or around the pool, the pool will need to be drained, cleaned and/or repaired at the guests sole expense per the booking agreement (the cost for this can be up to thousands of US dollars), so please refrain from using any glass in and around the pool, thank you!
No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed in the condominium, extra cleaning fees will be charged to the guest if a smoke smell is detected during cleaning
No drying clothing, bathing suits, or towels on balconies (please use the dryer in the condo - this is an HOA rule)
Please rinse off sand and sunscreen using outside showers prior to entering the condominium to prevent damage to condo furnishings
Any damage caused by guests to furniture, linens, appliances, electronics, etc. or the condo itself or any common areas of Bahia Encantada is to be reported to the host as soon as possible to ensure quick repair. Reasonable and appropriate fees to cover the costs of the damage may be charged to the guest at the owner's discretion.
Late checkout, after 11am local time, without prior approval from host will incur a minimum charge of $75. We allow for no-charge early check-in or late check-out if available an approved in advance.
NOTE: Due to 24/7 Security being provided on the property, guest names and the last 4 digits of the passport number for all guests will need to be provided to hosts so that info can be provided to security prior to access to the condo complex.
