Explore Ellicottville
Ellicottville is a four-season village, and this home puts you in the middle of it.
Winter: Ski or snowboard at Holiday Valley, less than a mile away, or at Holimont on weekdays. Go tubing, then come back to thaw out in the hot tub.
Summer: Play a round at the Holiday Valley golf course, or spend a day at the resort’s pools and spas (day rates are available). Try Sky High Adventure Park and its mountain coaster, hike or bike the trails, or take the chairlift up to Spruce Lake for the views.
Spring and fall: Wander the village, go hiking, browse antique shops, or visit the spas and salt caves. A trip to nearby Salamanca (15 to 20 minutes) adds antique shopping and a casino.
Day trips: Buffalo is about 50 minutes away, Letchworth State Park (the “Grand Canyon of the East”) is about an hour, and Niagara Falls is about an hour and 15 minutes.
Walking is the easiest way to get around the village. Street parking is available in town but can be tight on weekends, so it’s nice to have the driveway at the house.
